This policy explains what data the Ducat app (“App”), developed by Rahul Chowdhury (“we,” “us,” or “our”), collects and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

To provide account-based features and prevent abuse, we collect limited account information:

• Email address

This information is provided through Sign in with Apple and is used only to:

• Create your account
• Provide support
• Prevent fraud or abuse

We do not collect unnecessary personal information.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

Your financial and app data stays private.

• Your transactions and subscription records are stored and synced using your private iCloud account
• This data is not stored on our servers
• We cannot see or access your personal financial history

When you submit a query for processing (for example, formatting and categorising a transaction), the query text may briefly pass through our servers to generate a response.

These requests are processed transiently and are not stored or linked to your identity.

3. How Our Servers Work

Our servers are used only for lightweight processing and account management.

When you sign in or create an account:

• Your name and email are securely transmitted to our server for authentication and account setup

During normal app usage:

• Requests are handled using anonymous or pseudonymous identifiers
• Your name or email is not included in routine API calls
• We do not attach your identity to transaction processing or AI requests

No personal information is required for these operations.

4. Server Logs

Like most online services, our servers automatically generate basic technical logs, such as:

• API endpoints accessed
• Timestamps
• Error reports
• Anonymous identifiers
• IP address

These logs:

• Help us maintain reliability and prevent abuse
• Are not used for advertising or tracking
• Typically do not contain your name, email, or financial data

We do not build behavioural profiles or track you across services.

5. AI Processing

Some features use AI services provided by OpenAI.

In such cases:

• Queries are securely forwarded from our server to OpenAI for processing
• We do not send your name, email, or account information to OpenAI
• OpenAI only receives the content of the query itself
• Requests are made server-side, not directly from your device

If you voluntarily include personal information in a query, that information may be processed solely to generate a response.

6. Crash Reporting

To improve stability and fix bugs, Ducat uses Sentry for crash reporting.

• Crash reports may include technical diagnostics such as device type, OS version, and stack traces
• These reports do not intentionally include your name, email, or financial data
• Crash data is used only to diagnose and fix issues

We do not use Sentry for analytics or tracking.

7. Payments and Subscriptions

Payments and subscriptions are processed securely through Apple’s App Store.

• We do not receive or store your payment information
• Apple handles all billing and payment details

To verify your subscription status and enable premium features, we may store:

• Subscription status
• Renewal events
• Apple’s transaction or subscription identifiers

These identifiers are technical tokens provided by Apple and do not contain personal or payment information. They are used only to validate purchases and prevent fraud.

8. No Advertising or Tracking

• No ads
• No third-party tracking SDKs
• No selling of data
• No marketing profiling

We only collect the minimum information required to operate the service.

9. Data Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information:

• Secure HTTPS connections
• Minimal data collection by design
• Restricted server access
• Separation of identity and usage data

While we use industry-standard safeguards, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your Rights

You may:

• Request access to your account information
• Update or correct your details on our backend records
• Request deletion of your account and associated data

11. Optional Contact

If you email us for support:

• We will only use your email to respond and provide support
• We do not use support emails for marketing
• You may request deletion at any time

12. Children’s Privacy

Ducat is not designed for children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
