Using the Raycast extension

While the Ducat Web app can be accessed on any device and platform, it can also integrate with other apps to help you set up workflows convenient for you.

The official Ducat Raycast extension is such an integration that lets you log transactions without opening the app.

Download the extension

The Ducat extension lets you easily log transactions from the Raycast command bar with the Record Transaction command.

Get an integration key

Head over to Settings → Integrations, click the + button, and then choose Raycast to create a new Raycast integration key:

You can use the prefilled name for the integration or rename it to anything that helps you remember the connection.

Click Create to create the integration and generate an integration key that you can use to connect the Raycast extension to your account:

Note: Anyone with this key can log transactions to your Ducat account. Therefore, keep it safe and don't share it with anyone else.

Copy the generated key and click Done.

Configuring the extension

The first time you run the Record Transaction command in Raycast, the extension will ask you to input your integration key to connect to your Ducat account:

This is where you can paste the integration key you generated in the last step and click Continue to save your configuration.

Once saved, you're now ready to log transactions in natural language using Raycast.

Logging transactions

Launch Raycast from anywhere in your system, find the Record Transaction command from Ducat, type your transaction description, and press Enter to add your transaction to your Ducat account:

Tip: Set an alias or hotkey for this command to quickly trigger it without having to type the command name every time.
